Oh And The Moon

The way it permits the passage of night
and sits on its haunches above the suburb’s tallest building

another place                                       dream pulling

as pale as winter in the field’s dregs — but now
it’s spring and colours are painted by a patient sun

one emotion                                         upon another

until it’s all wild revelry and erotic dance
which even the dog feels as we walk around the block.
