New Lens

Clarity, able to stop action
with a single shutter speed adjustment.

 
More durable than many of the people
I will photograph.  Caveat — no selfies.

Expensive enough to again avoid
the question of retirement, there’s purpose.

 
Vanity, a white lens denoting prowess
which really isn’t there.

 
And the satisfaction of another goal
accomplished, another dream well met.
